Glenns Ferry, Idaho is located halfway between Boise and Twin falls off I-84. Sun Valley is just a one and a half hour drive northeast of Glenns Ferry. With a population of approx. 1,600 people; Hammett (4 miles west) and King Hill (4 miles east), which are neighboring smaller communities, add to the area's population. Although Glenns Ferry is located in a desert region, the area is surrounded by farmland. The Snake River flows right by the community which adds to the beauty of the area; and offers recreational opportunities. Agriculture and ranching are big players in this area of Idaho.
